  1. Vatra Dornei chairlift: If you want to admire an impressive view of the Dornelor Valley from above, take a ride on the chairlift. Starting from Negresti street, the journey of about 25 minutes takes you to an altitude of 1300 meters. From there you can admire the Dornelor Basin, surrounded by the Călimani Massif and the Rodnei Mountains.
  2. Ciocănești village: Located between Vatra Dornei and Botoș, Ciocănești is a colorful gem. Lonely Planet even included it in sixth place in the list of the most colorful tourist destinations in Europe. The village has over 600 houses beautifully decorated with traditional Bukovina motifs. Take a relaxing stroll here to enjoy its fairytale charm.
  3. Dorna of the Cândren: Only 9 km from Vatra Dornei, Dorna Cândrenilor is a picturesque place to visit. Here you will find Bucovina wooden houses decorated with traditional patterns and locals dressed in specific costumes. The village is located at the foot of the Oușor Mountains, offering enchanting scenery and a glimpse into local life.
  4. Dorna Arini: Another jewel of the Bucovina region, Dorna Arini is located along the Bistrita River. Explore the nearby hills and admire the views towards the Călimani, Giumalau, Suhar and Pietrosul Bistriței Mountains. It's a quiet and relaxing place, perfect for relaxing by the river.
