Harsova is a town located on the right bank of the Danube, in Constanţa County, Romania, with a population of 11,000. The tourist value is due to a medieval fortification, almost 7000 years old. The remains are dated in the ancient pre-Roman era, when colonists came from Greece and built some cities in an area dominated by Dacian tribes. The city was a major one until the Ottoman era (16th century AD).
