River and sea transport of goods and passengers is carried out through the ports of Tulcea, Sulina, Sfântu Gheorghe, Isaccea, Chilia Veche, Măcin. Maritime vessels can also sail on the Sulina branch and further on the Danube, up to Brăila, which favors an intense transit trade.
Travel to the leisure areas of the Danube Delta is done on the Danube, with passenger ships, according to established timetables (classic races and fast races) or with private pleasure boats.
Tulcea County has on its territory the "Delta Danube" Tulcea Airport, located at a distance of 3 km from the town of Cataloi and 15 km from the municipality of Tulcea on DN22. Tulcea Airport is intended for public use and can be made available to any air operator in any period of time as long as it is available for the landing and take-off of aircraft in domestic and international passenger, cargo and mail traffic.
