One of the most famous mountain resorts in Slovenia, located in the northwestern part of the country, close to the border with Austria and Italy. In the vicinity of the resort is the Triglav National Park with the imposing peaks of the Julian Alps, the forests stretching between Mojstrana and Ratece, as well as numerous ski slopes. Access to Kranjska Gora is easy, the resort being located at the intersection of the main highways in Slovenia. The climatic conditions and the condition of the snow are favorable for the practice of winter sports and the slopes are suitable for all categories of skiers. The main ski areas are Kranjska Gora, Mojstrana, Gozd Martuljek, Planina pod Golico and Podkoren. Every year, one of the stages of the Ski World Cup (Vitranc Trophy) takes place in this area.
